« Toulon, located between the sea and the mountains, has many gems for tourists. Personally, I love walking along the seafront, on Sentier du Littoral path (former Sentier des Douaniers path). It starts at the Tour Royale and leads from the creeks to the beaches as far as Méjean bay. About 2 hours of walking (accessible to families) with magnificent views of Toulon harbour, the beaches, and the surrounding islands. Though the regularly maintained path is comfortable, do not forget to wear shoes and take water with you! This is an ideal walk if you are a nature lover, as you can discover numerous endemic plant species growing in the rock. Sea lovers are not outdone as a water walk is organised from June to September, starting from Magaud bay, to discover the sea bed (with flippers, mask, and snorkel).
